While building the Red Bull BO105, I kept in contact with Harald Reiter who managers the Flying Bulls. He is based in Salzburg, Austria and manages their impressive fleet of aircraft. These are kept in two magnificent glass hangers at Salzburg airport. One is open to the public and contains a selection of historic aircraft and some of the F1 Red Bull racing cars. Aircraft include a Douglas DC-6, B-25J Mitchell bomber, Cessna Amphibian Caravan, Corsair, Bell 47, Cobra and a squadron of Alpha Jets. And a BO105 CB.
The other aircraft hanger is where they maintain the aircraft and store others. It is an amazing place and well worth the visit.
Having finished the model it soon became apparent that it was far too large for me to handle and so I offered it to Harald at the Flying Bulls for the help they gave me. It is now on show at Hanger 7 next to a full size version.
